When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going

The COVID-19 pandemic will have lasting medical and economic impact. Helping Hands is an opportunity to come together as a community and provide relief where it is needed. Initially, our focus will be on the elderly, as they face the highest risk of severe adverse effects. Our strategy is simple. We believe that small acts of kindness will go a long way. Meaning, starting today is as easy as picking up and delivering groceries.

“Helping Hands follow our rules as far as picking up food for those in need goes, and are very careful to make sure they are following safe practices as per the CDC. Pantry 279 is very excited to be working with them and we are looking forward to our continued partnership.”

–  Cindy Chavez, Director of Pantry 279

“I have found Helping Hands a wonderful resource for those in need to provide much needed services such as picking up clothes and pantry boxes, assisting with household chores, and lawn care in a COVID safe way. Many people in our network do not have access to stable transportation, and the friendly and cheerful volunteers go above and beyond to make sure their needs are met. I am proud to support their work!”

– Abby Ang, Monroe County Area Mutual Aid Organizer

Hear From a Bloomington Resident!
