Is this service free?
Yes. This service is free, courtesy of the City of Bloomington Office of Innovation.
I need help signing up. Who can I call?
Please call or text 812.269.2457 for sign up assistance.
Can I make multiple requests?
Yes! However, indicate ALL requests you will need for the summer in the initial sign up form.
How soon can I start receiving leaf management support?
August through November, 2023.
What if I want to make changes to my delivery time, date, or frequency?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (833) 702-4267. We will try to accommodate all requests and changes.
Will my home address be shared publicly?
No. The home address will however be shared with volunteers who have been screened through our internal staff and safety questions.
How do we make the volunteer process safe? How can I trust the volunteers?
The safety of our recipients and volunteers is our number one priority. To ensure our recipients’ safety, all volunteers must follow our service policies and expectations. These expectations highlight appropriate and safe participant behavior that must be modeled by all volunteers and recipients.
How do I start signing up to volunteer?
Once you fill out the initial questionnaire (on homepage), you will receive confirmation if your application has been approved. From then, you will receive a username and password to get access to the volunteer calendar. You will select volunteering events in the calendar.
What if I cannot make a volunteering event that I registered for?
Please contact us at email@example.com as soon as possible. We will make alternative arrangements for another volunteer to fulfill the event.
Will I be able to contact the recipient I am matched with?
Our staff dispatchers will be the main communicators between recipients and volunteers.
How do we make the delivery process safe? How are volunteers protected?
To ensure the safety of all participants, all volunteers and recipients are required to follow our service policies and expectations. These expectations highlight appropriate and safe participant behavior that must be modeled by all volunteers and recipients. Additionally, our staff will conduct background checks on all participants once applications are turned in.
